Job Purpose
Bidvest International Logistics (BIL) is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their Sales team in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal. The role focuses on generating new business across Air & Ocean Forwarding, Clearing, Roadfreight (local and cross-border), and Warehousing services.
Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12
- BDegree or relevant Post Graduate Qualification
- 5 to 10 years sales experience in Freight Forwarding, 3/4 PL, or Contract Logistics
- Proven track record in new business development
- Experience managing or leading a team is an advantage
- Knowledge of E2E Supply Chain
- MS Office (Intermediate level) and CRM skills
- Code 08 Driver’s License
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage new business opportunities through networking and cold calling
- Grow profit and revenue within assigned industry verticals
- Build long-term business relationships
- Manage client profitability and ensure year-on-year growth
- Present and consult at senior management level
- Submit proposals for tenders and RFQs
- Research and identify market opportunities
- Report on market intelligence and competitor activities
- Collaborate with BIL Product Heads and Agents
