Job Advert Summary
ANEW Hotels & Resorts is looking for a Debtors Clerk to ensure debtors make payments on time and within agreed terms. The role includes managing credit approvals for qualifying organizations and ensuring debtors honor their credit terms.
The successful candidate will be based in Centurion, Gauteng.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Knowledge of Pastel (essential)
- Hotel experience in a similar position (advantageous)
- Knowledge of Opera and F&B point of sale systems (essential)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fully literate and numerate — able to perform calculations, interpret financial statements, and compile basic accounting reports
- Computer literate — able to input and extract data from computerized systems
- Language: English (for communication with guests and management)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure Debtors' Statements are checked and sent by the 3rd of each month.
- Follow up on overdue accounts via phone or written communication as needed.
- Allocate payments daily according to remittances received.
- Handle queries promptly, ensuring issues are resolved within the group.
- Maintain accounting records in line with the uniform system of accounts.
- Manage accounting data and produce financial reports as required.
- Allocate payments across the group and assist with queries.
