Job Purpose

To ensure stock is loaded and stacked properly while maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

General Work Duties

• Sweeping and cleaning the warehouse.

• Assisting with deliveries and housekeeping.

• Picking and performing other warehouse tasks.

• Loading and wrapping pallets and products.

• Operating pallet jacks and forklifts (license required).

Wrapping

• Packing cases according to product instructions.

• Removing damaged products before loading.

• Assisting the Checker with unpacking cases.

Housekeeping

• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the warehouse.

• Ensuring neat and secure stacking of stock.

• Cleaning waste and maintaining tidy walkways.

Stock Count Preparation

• Preparing the warehouse for stock counts.

• Isolating and labeling damaged stock.

• Assisting with daily stock counting.

• Reporting stock issues to the Warehouse Shift Controller.

Timekeeping

• Clocking in and out at correct times.

• Minimizing overtime.

• Reporting late arrivals.

Health & Safety Compliance

• Following occupational health and safety regulations.

• Maintaining safe work practices.

• Ensuring fire and accident prevention.

Good Handling Practices

• Keeping loading and freezer doors closed.

• Maintaining a glass-free area to prevent contamination.

Teamwork & Self-Management

• Taking ownership and accountability for tasks.

• Informing relevant parties of any risks or issues.

• Supporting business core values.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12).

Experience

• 1 year experience in warehousing (advantageous).

Skills & Competencies

• Physically fit.

• Sober habits.

• Ability to work in a team and maintain a clean work environment.
