About the Role:
An exciting opportunity is available at Hollard Insure, in the Hollard Alternative Risk Transfer team, for a Portfolio Administrator. The role will support the Business Development Team in servicing specific portfolios and building relationships with brokers and customers. You'll ensure adherence to Hollard’s service standards and regulatory compliance while contributing to team growth and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret renewal and new business closings according to the Business Development team's instructions.
- Invoice premiums to customers and raise cessions on the dedicated system.
- Administer policy documentation, including endorsements and reinsurance slips.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of Risk Financing statements before submission to brokers and customers.
- Process payments of commissions and fees as applicable.
- Allocate premiums and fees to specific schemes.
- Liaise with the claims team regarding changes in portfolios or policies.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting portfolio administration.
- Ensure continuous communication with team members for effective collaboration.
- Monitor risks and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Contribute to internal reports and identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Ensure that customers are treated fairly (TCF principles).
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of risk finance and risk management (advantageous).
- Familiarity with policy wordings (advantageous).
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building skills and good work ethic.
- Sound understanding of the TCF (Treating Customers Fairly) principles.
Education and Experience:
- Matric (Essential)
- 3-5 years' experience in commercial lines insurance (technical).
- Insurance qualification or equivalent (advantageous).
- Bookkeeping or accounting qualification (advantageous).
