Minimum Requirements:
- Matric
- At least 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
- Experience in Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of restaurant operations
Preferred:
- Over 3 years of restaurant management experience
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Ensure correct and effective financial administration daily according to Nando’s policies.
- Control expenditure and achieve expected gross profit margins.
- Take corrective actions to improve business performance indicators.
- Monitor performance against daily targets (Sales, Gross Profit, Ticket Average, etc.).
Operational Management:
- Ensure efficient stock control management daily.
- Perform daily compliance checks related to Health & Safety, Repairs, Maintenance, Hygiene, etc.
- Assist in developing corrective action plans to improve audit results.
- Communicate and ensure compliance with Nando’s operational standards.
People Management:
- Develop and monitor weekly rostering to meet business requirements.
- Assist with recruitment, induction, and training of new staff.
- Check attendance registers and assist with disciplinary actions as needed.
- Ensure ongoing staff training and compliance with Nando’s procedures.
Marketing Management:
- Assist with executing national, regional, and local marketing campaigns.
- Respond to customer complaints per Nando’s policies.
- Help improve mystery shopper report results.
- Assist with executing local marketing plans to increase sales and the customer base.
- Fulfill the Restaurant Manager’s responsibilities in their absence.
