Nedbank YES Programme 2025

What is the YES Programme?

The YES (Youth Employment Service) Programme is a business-led initiative in partnership with the South African government to combat youth unemployment. It provides young people with valuable workplace experience and new skills, boosting their chances of securing long-term employment.

Who Can Apply?

South African youth who:

  • Are between 18 and 29 years old.
  • Have a matric certificate.
  • Are currently unemployed.
  • Identify as African, Coloured, or Indian (as defined by the BBBEE Act).
  • Have not participated in another YES Programme with any other organization.

Programme Duration

  • 12 months of full-time, practical work experience.
  • The programme is set to start on 1 June 2025.
  • It is not a learnership, internship, or apprenticeship — it's quality work experience.

Monthly Stipend

  • Participants will receive a monthly stipend to cover living, food, and travel costs.
  • The stipend amount will align with the YES Programme guidelines.

Work Locations

  • Work experience will take place at Nedbank branches, offices, and sites across South Africa.
  • Hybrid or remote work may be an option for some roles, depending on job requirements.
  • Shift work may apply — including weekends and public holidays — based on the role and department.

Participants must be able to travel to and from the workplace.
