Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Optometry from an accredited institution
- Registered with the Health Professions Council
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive eye exams, including refraction, visual acuity tests, and ocular health assessments
- Diagnose and manage various eye conditions (e.g., refractive errors, glaucoma, ocular diseases)
- Prescribe glasses, contact lenses, and visual aids tailored to patient needs
- Educate patients on eye health, preventative care, and lifestyle recommendations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals (e.g., ophthalmologists) to provide holistic care
- Maintain accurate patient records in line with industry standards
- Stay updated on new advancements in optometry and eye care
