Remuneration

R349,956.00 to R480,108.00 per annum (Basic salary plus benefits)


Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)

  • Secretarial Diploma

  • 5 years’ experience in a similar environment

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to assess situations and respond appropriately


Core Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and coordinate activities between Council offices, Departments, and Structures related to service delivery.

  • Ensure all administrative tasks meet high-quality standards as agreed with management.

  • Identify and resolve queries promptly, apply discretion within guidelines, and escalate unresolved issues.

  • Plan and organize routine tasks and work schedules.

  • Manage enquiries and complaints for the Head of Department, gather information, and provide feedback.

  • Arrange and coordinate meetings, workshops, catering, venue setup, audio-visual aids, and documentation.

  • Oversee the smooth running of the Head of Department’s office.

  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence according to approved file plans and registry procedures.

  • Draft documents using word processing, spreadsheets, email, and other PC office applications.

  • Adhere to policies, standards, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Assess own performance and seek feedback on outputs.

  • Perform additional secretarial, administrative, or clerical duties as requested by management.
