Role Purpose

Vodacom is looking for a Personal Assistant (PA) to support the Chief Officer Legal, Risk & Compliance (LRC). The PA will handle business administration, project support, and act as the primary point of contact for this office.

Key Responsibilities

1. Administrative Support

  • Manage emails, messages, and telephone screening.

  • Coordinate appointments, meetings, and conferences.

  • Proofread, edit, and compile documents for the Chief Officer LRC.

  • Take accurate minutes in meetings.

  • Prepare reports and board documents as required.

  • Maintain data management and filing systems.

2. Budget & Expense Management

  • Assist with OPEX and CAPEX budget administration.

  • Ensure all expenditures, invoices, and reconciliations follow company policies.

  • Process expense reports and budget transfers.

3. Travel Management

  • Manage local and international travel arrangements.

  • Handle visa applications, flights, hotels, meetings, transport, and forex.

  • Prepare detailed itineraries for trips.

4. Event Management

  • Organize events, conferences, team buildings, and seminars.

  • Handle venue bookings, speaker confirmations, delegate attendance, and logistics.

  • Prepare agendas, presentations, and promotional materials.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Matric (Grade 12).

  • Secretarial Certificate/Diploma (Essential).

  • Legal Certificate (Advantageous).

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of secretarial experience.

  • 1+ year as a PA supporting a Chief Officer or equivalent in a listed company.

  • 1+ year in a related business environment.

  • Project management experience.

  • Legal PA support experience (Advantageous).

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

  • Office management expertise.

  • Financial administration experience.

  • Knowledge of SAP EVO (Advantageous).

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work under pressure.

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
