Job Purpose

Perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties within the Operations Resources function of the department.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process and update day-to-day queries.
  • Type correspondence for the Operations Resource Coordinating Centre.
  • Assist the Coordinator with raising accounts for specific incidents.
  • Maintain filing and record systems.
  • Collate data, produce statistics, and manage the technical information library.
  • Prepare inventory lists and manage equipment inventory.
  • Keep electronic databases updated.
  • Perform secretarial duties at Centre meetings.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent
  • 2 years relevant experience
  • Computer literacy

Preferred Requirements

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) and an Administrative Certificate
  • 3 years relevant experience

Special Conditions

  • May act in a more senior position when needed.
  • Must be prepared to work shifts and anywhere within the Authority’s jurisdiction.

Remuneration
