Main Purpose of the Role

Identify, evaluate, and manage credit risks within DSV. Ensure credit activities align with company policies and regulatory requirements, minimizing financial losses and supporting growth. This role focuses on internal customers — understanding their needs while maintaining processes and compliance.


Minimum Requirements

  • Tertiary Qualification:
    Completed or currently studying Credit Management / B.Com Accounting / Financial Accounting
    Credit Risk Course (advantageous)

  • Computer Skills:
    Intermediate MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
    Experience with ERP Systems (SAP, MDG, CargoWise1 preferred)
    Knowledge of Cregalink / Atradius / Experian

  • Experience:
    Credit Risk experience (mandatory)
    2+ years Accounts Receivable (advantageous)
    Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    High attention to detail and analytical ability
    Quick decision-making and time management skills
    Understanding of credit risk regulations
    Professional customer service skills

  • Shared Services / Multinational Accounts Receivable experience
  • Credit bureau & debtors insurance knowledge
  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Credit Risk Management:
    Analyze and monitor credit risk across accounts
    Ensure compliance with Credit Risk and Debtors Insurance Policies
    Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    Oversee claims functions and manage monthly insurance reports
    Extract and analyze Experian reports
    Recommend ways to reduce/control risk
    Monitor problem accounts and liaise with Debtors Insurers for coverage
    Reconcile Debtors Insurer Annexure with SAP data for accuracy

  • Reporting:
    Ensure timely, accurate reporting to decision-makers
    Meet month-end reporting deadlines
