Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Procurement Category Manager with a proven track record of managing large, complex projects within multinational corporations. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a history of generating substantial savings through strategic procurement initiatives, and expertise in global operations. Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process of indirect procurement categories, including technology, operations, marketing, processing, acquiring, and general services (from requisition to delivery stage, including payment processing through the accounts payable team).
  • Generate cost savings and value-added outcomes through proactive procurement activities, working closely with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Support standardization and sharing of best practices across group entities.
  • Identify and implement procurement savings through strategic initiatives, negotiations, and identifying alternative suppliers.
  • Category Management experience.
  • Supplier Management: Performance evaluation, supplier risk management, and supporting due diligence processes.
  • Manage supplier due diligence, including financial checks and the supplier onboarding process.
  • Drive procurement process improvements across the group, aiming to reduce processing times without compromising internal controls.
  • Ensure governance in line with group policies and Delegation of Authority.
  • Participate in the annual budgets and forecasting process to optimize the cost base year on year.
  • Provide input into the Procurement Tracker and KPI reporting, capturing processing times and procurement savings.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3-4 years prior experience in a procurement role
  • MCIPS qualified or working towards qualification

Job-Specific Skills:

  • Significant experience in operational procurement and strategic sourcing
  • Supplier Relationship Management experience is a plus
  • Experience in spend analysis and driving optimization initiatives
  • Strong working knowledge of Oracle ERP, especially in the procure-to-pay process
  • Experience in the financial services or IT sector
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
