Purpose of the Job:
The Receptionist will maintain a world-class standard for both hard and soft services and manage the facilities to meet the needs of clients and staff. The role involves day-to-day supervision of the reception area, ensuring that all functions are carried out professionally, efficiently, and in accordance with agreed procedures and protocols.
Key Performance Areas

Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional service to clients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Greet all clients with a smile, maintain a positive attitude, and treat each client as a valued guest.
- Engage clients using professional language and communication.
- Manage incoming telephone calls, directing them to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Address customer complaints and concerns, providing timely resolutions.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor, always adhering to business language and tone.

Data Management & Integrity
- Accurately record client visits on the visitor management system or in-house forms.

Adherence to Policies & Procedures
- Strictly follow all divisional policies, procedures, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Comply with confidentiality protocols under the POPIA Act.
- Ensure adherence to schedules and operational protocols.

Teamwork
- Contribute positively to team performance and work collaboratively with business support staff.
- Demonstrate respect, empathy, and integrity when interacting with colleagues.
- Share knowledge and assist other team members to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications
- Matric (Essential)
- Relevant qualification (Advantageous)
Experience
- Minimum 2 years proven work experience as a corporate receptionist, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Knowledge of customer service practices and principles.
- Ability to speak more than 2 languages is highly advantageous.
