Service Consultant (Talent Pool)

Business Unit: Discovery Insure
Function: Insurance (Short Term)

Key Purpose

To assist clients in a call centre with policy changes, policy advice, complaints, escalations, and all ongoing support after a policy has been activated.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate details of queries and communicate with management.
  • Upsell products to existing clients.
  • Make outbound calls to clients for servicing changes.
  • Provide technical support related to Vitalitydrive.
  • Ensure first-call resolution for client queries.
  • Provide ongoing client support and accurate administration.
  • Meet monthly product and soft skills knowledge targets.
  • Engage with stakeholders and service providers.
  • Work collaboratively, demonstrating self-management and alignment with Discovery’s values.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Matric (Essential)
  • 1 year call centre experience in the short-term insurance industry (Essential)
  • Experience dealing with service providers (Essential)
  • FAIS Credits - full qualification (Essential)
  • 1 year sales experience (Advantageous)
  • RE 5 qualification (Advantageous)
  • Class of business certificate (Advantageous)
  • Continuous Professional Development (CPD) certificate (Essential and/or Advantageous)
  • Degree (Advantageous)
