Job Description
The Team Leader, Cash (Level 1) oversees cash-related operations, including managing cash consultants and ATMs at designated Points of Representation (PORs). This role requires strict adherence to client experience standards, product knowledge, and banking procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage cash activities, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and risk controls
- Supervise cash personnel, maintain ATM functionality, and perform audits
- Provide strategic guidance on cash operations, collaborating with internal teams
- Keep up to date with regulatory changes and report performance to senior management
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and ensure security
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Qualification:
- National Certificate in Banking (NQF5 FAIS aligned or higher)
Experience Required:
- 3–4 years branch banking experience, including teller operations and frontline support
- Expertise in bulk cash handling, ATM operations, and cash management procedures
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance
