Job Description:
Tiger Brands, Africa’s largest listed manufacturer of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), is seeking a Warehouse Controller responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of the finished goods warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure strict adherence to timeous cycle counting practices and procedures.
- Minimize waste write-offs and product damage.
- Control the Forklift fleet.
- Manage stock in the finished goods warehouse to minimize risks such as damages and spoilage.
- Maintain safety standards within the warehouse.
- Oversee discipline and human resource management in the warehouse.
- Promote small group activities for improved team performance.
- Manage the British Retail Consortium (BRC) system within the warehouse.
Performance Metrics:
- Stock management (stacking and correct loading).
- Housekeeping and pallet account management.
- Staff development and waste reduction.
Required Attributes and Competencies:
- Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate strong communication and service-oriented skills.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Strategic and innovative thinking capabilities.
- Leadership qualities, including leading with integrity, respect, and developing others.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Matric and relevant tertiary qualification in stock control/warehousing, or studying towards TMA qualification.
- 2-3 years’ experience in a warehousing and distribution environment.
- Computer literacy and ability to identify products based on product codes.
- Experience in stock management.
