A career opportunity exists for the right candidate to be appointed as an Admin Messenger based at eThekwini Hospital in KwaZulu-Natal.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or relevant NQF Level 4 qualification

  • 0–1 year relevant working experience


Skills and Knowledge:

  • Computer literacy

  • Understanding of organisational policies and procedures

  • Knowledge of laboratory SOPs and processes

  • Good communication and telephone etiquette

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a pressured environment

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

  • Adherence to company dress code

  • Customer service orientation


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform hospital rounds to deliver reports and collect samples

  • Take and relay telephone messages to maintain operational standards

  • Deliver stock to wards and doctors’ rooms

  • Monitor and order stock to ensure constant availability of materials

  • Maintain cleanliness in the working area in line with SOPs

  • Represent the organisation professionally and ethically

  • Report incidents, log complaints, and manage tasks on the lab system

  • Apply health and safety practices in line with relevant legislation

  • Adhere to Lancet uniform protocols and dress standards


Salary: Based on qualifications and experience
