Key Purpose

The Data Archiving Administrator will be responsible for managing O365 Mail, OneDrive, Project Server/Online, SharePoint Server/Online, and SQL/Online. This includes support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation of standards, business requirements, operational guidelines, access controls, backup, and recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Archiving infrastructure and retention standards for business serviceability

  • Resolve incidents/requests within the specified SLA

  • Troubleshoot and resolve data recovery issues

  • Log and represent Change Management requests

  • Perform minor version upgrades of archiving software and hardware

  • Implement regular patch management and commission new archiving clients

  • Draft and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Archiving environment

  • Compile and manage license capacity reports

  • Active Directory & Azure AD

  • Time Management & Prioritization

  • Technical Report Writing

Education & Experience

Essential:

  • Matric

  • Veritas Enterprise Vault certification

  • Cloud Archiving Technologies certification

  • 3 years of experience in an IT environment

  • 2+ years of experience in Data Archiving support

  • 2+ years of experience in Microsoft infrastructure support

Advantageous:

  • MCSA – SharePoint Administration knowledge

  • MCP O365/ Archiving certification

  • Microsoft 365 Certification

  • Experience with archiving tools (e.g., EV, Mimecast)

  • Strong understanding of Veritas Enterprise Vault
