Job Summary
The Finance Clerk will manage purchasing activities, process invoices, monitor invoice trackers, and support vendor payments. This role requires high accuracy, attention to detail, and strict adherence to financial policies and procedures. Reporting to the Finance Department, the position offers a structured and process-driven work environment.
Minimum Requirements
Education:

Matric (Grade 12) – essential

Advantageous: Post-secondary diploma or certificate in financial administration, bookkeeping, accounting, or equivalent
Experience:
-
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in financial services or Life Assurance industry in a finance administrator role
Key Responsibilities
-
Capture and check requests within 4 hours of receipt, ensuring 95% accuracy

Perform routine daily finance support functions
-
Communicate outstanding requirements after capturing requests

Provide administrative support to the Finance Team

Take ownership of service level standards and meet performance expectations

Handle purchasing in line with financial policies and authorization procedures

Process invoices using the Procure-To-Pay system and forward to creditors

Produce weekly and monthly invoice trackers to monitor invoice status

Verify budget availability and ensure timely vendor payments

Maintain and update vendor records on the Procure-To-Pay system

Manage shared mailbox: receive payment and claims requests, and respond to stakeholder queries
