About the Role

Momentum Health is hiring a Membership Clerk to join their team in Durban. The purpose of this role is to process membership applications and updates accurately and in line with internal policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities

Membership Processing

  • Enforce scheme rules and eligibility criteria

  • Maintain accurate membership records

  • Ensure 99.5% quality and complete documentation

  • Respond to queries from members, service providers, and employers

  • Help meet service delivery targets and performance standards

Client Service

  • Offer expert support to clients and stakeholders

  • Recommend ways to improve customer experience

  • Honour service level agreements

  • Build long-lasting, positive relationships

Teamwork & Personal Growth

  • Keep up with industry knowledge and legislative updates

  • Work closely with peers to ensure efficiency

  • Suggest and support process improvements

  • Take ownership of your career development

Financial Responsibility

  • Recommend ways to improve cost-efficiency

  • Use company resources responsibly

  • Identify and manage risks

  • Support financial planning and efficiency goals


Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric (Essential)

  • Higher Certificate in Office or Business Administration (or similar)

  • 1–2 years’ experience in admin or data entry

  • Experience in client service environments

  • Fluent in English (additional languages an advantage)

  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards
