Purpose of the Job:

Medirite Plus Lydenburg is looking for a customer-focused Pharmacy Shop Assistant to support in-store retail operations. Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers with product selection
Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions and refunds
Restock shelves and maintain the sales floor
Maintain visual displays and merchandising standards
Conduct price checks and audits
Handle customer queries and escalate when necessary
Stay up to date with promotions and product knowledge
Ensure store cleanliness and organization

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications:

Grade 12 / Matric (Essential)

Experience:

At least 5 months experience working at a till/point of sale in a retail environment
Sales floor and cash counter experience preferred

Skills and Attributes:

Solid understanding of customer service principles
Knowledge of stock receiving and merchandising
Computer literate
Fluent in Afrikaans and English
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Friendly and engaging personality
Able to work in a fast-paced retail setting
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Familiar with various payment methods (cash, card, vouchers, etc.)
