Purpose of the Job:

Medirite Plus Olivedale is looking for a Stock Controller to manage stock levels efficiently and accurately. The role involves overseeing the movement of goods, ensuring correct delivery and stock handling, and maintaining optimal inventory for the store. The successful candidate will have in-depth inventory management knowledge and experience within the retail industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive and inspect incoming goods and match deliveries to invoices
Capture invoices of goods received accurately into the system
Ensure the quantity, variants, and condition of goods match the order
Process returns to suppliers according to company SOPs
Maintain an organized and clean storeroom
Manage and control high-risk stock
Identify discrepancies in stock and report to management
Return damaged or unordered goods and complete the necessary documentation
Physically demanding role involving lifting heavy boxes and offloading pallets
Assist other departments as required

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications:

Grade 12 / Matric (Essential)

Experience:

At least 1 year of relevant experience in stock control or similar roles within a retail/FMCG environment

Skills and Attributes:

Strong understanding of stock management principles and best practices
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong problem-solving abilities
Computer literate with MS Word, MS Excel, and Office 365 proficiency
Knowledge of the SAP system
Sound numeracy and communication skills
